🧰 On a new installment of Resilience Toolbox, we speak with Suhrud Rajguru, Ph.D., Co-Founder at RestorEar Devices and Professor at the University of Miami about ReBound by RestorEar, the first ever FDA registered and research-backed hearing health device engineered to minimize hearing damage AFTER noise exposure.👂🏼
Currently, the only practical approach is non-pharmaceutical devices such as ear plugs or ear muffs. But loud sounds surround us everyday, with noise from traffic, entertainment events, and even home appliances contributing to hearing damage. RestorEar aims to offer a solution.
RestorEar Devices is a leader in the development of novel, non-pharmaceutical technologies for the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss and conditions related to the inner ear, including tinnitus (ringing in one’s ear). Founded in 2017 by an interdisciplinary team of research scientists, engineers, and clinicians, our goal is to provide solutions to the universal problem of hearing loss with both clinical and consumer-oriented products. The work of our research partners is supported by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and Veterans Health Administration, and directly informs the development of our products.
